Expanded Reopening

With the number of Covid-19 cases continuing to go down in Wisconsin, Camp Dewan has removed the restriction on the number of guests and will no longer require waivers.

We remain concerned about the spread of COVID-19 (including the Delta variant) and ask that guests continue to follow CDC guidance for vaccinated and unvaccinated guests. Camp Dewan will continue to have signs posted to remind our guests to practice safe hand washing, mask wearing and social distancing recommendations as recommended by the CDC.

We have in place an expanded Ultra-Cleaning process, social distancing recommendations, heightened health awareness from our guests and the wearing of masks at check-in as well as at other times as recommended by CDC guidelines. During these difficult times we will continue to look at additional or modified recommendations that we could put in place in the future for the safety of guests and staff.

Stay Home if You Have Symptoms

Although we would love to see you here and having fun at Camp Dewan this summer, Camp Dewan is asking any guest to not visit us if they are experiencing any of the symptoms of the Covid19 virus that have been stated by the CDC or other health organizations. Please do not attend if you are experiencing any of the following; shortness of breath or pressure in your chest, fever, non-productive cough, chills, body aches, sudden loss of taste or smell, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea and of course if you have been exposed to a person known to have the Covid19 virus or you have tested positive for Covid19 and are still able to transmit the virus. Camp Dewan unfortunately would need to ask the entire group to leave the property as soon as possible if anyone should become infected with the Covid19 or become sick with the virus while at Camp Dewan.

Ultra Cleaning and Cleaning Fee

Camp Dewan has implemented our Ultra Cleaning Process. That process unfortunately includes an additional amount of time and cost in preparing our facility for our guests and to insure the seamless and safe transition between guest groups. While bedding will still be offered for the beds in our Deer Run Lodge, we will implement a new process of cleaning our bedding with an outside vendor. The cleaning of the bedding will make it necessary for us to charge a service fee of $125.00 to clean the bedding for the group for a weekend stay. We will ask guests to strip beds and leave bedding at the foot of the bed before they leave the property. This will limit the exposure to our staff and future guests from any unknown contaminant that might inadvertently be left on the sheets or comforters. The beds and mattresses will then be wiped down and sanitized by our cleaning staff between groups. Pillows will also be refreshed and sanitized by Camp Dewan between uses.

The Ultra Cleaning process will necessitate extra time to complete and will entail cleaning of all surfaces that may be touched by staff or previous guests. In order to accomplish our expanded cleaning, we must enforce strict check-in and check-out times. Our check in will be after 3:00pm the day you arrive and check out of 10:00am the day you leave. We will also be sure to allow for an additional full day in between guest groups to complete proper cleaning and sanitizing of the entire property.

Camp Dewan will have available ample soap for hand washing and disposable paper towels at all times. We will also have hand sanitizer available for areas that do not work well for proper hand washing.
